# Fools First

*April 1, 2026 · Note to the team · Roby John*

Today is April Fools' Day. Maybe the right day for entrepreneurs to tell the truth. Because everyone who tries to build something that doesn't yet exist is a fool first.

Fools enough to build original games in India when the safe answer was services. Fools enough to believe that what isn't obvious today becomes obvious to everyone tomorrow.

The best thing I read recently: AI gives you speed, but not direction. It's great at the leaves, but not the trunk. And in a power-law market, the last 20% is where all the value lives — 80% of the right game might be worth a little; 100% might be worth everything.

Leadership isn't only about ambition. It's also about grief — projects end, strategies change, teams evolve. When grief isn't acknowledged, it turns into inconsistency and broken trust. So let me name it: this phase is heavy.

But the people who build anything meaningful always look like fools before they look inevitable. The only way out is Through. And the only Good way Through is Together. Let's believe. Let's build. Let's ship.
